Who is the app for?

The app is intended for users over the age of 4; users under the age of 18 may only use it under the supervision of their parents or other legal guardians.

Users under the age of 9 use a limited version of the content; the full version of the features is available to users aged 10 and over. The app determines your age based on the date of birth you enter when creating an account/profile in the app on your device. This information is not shared outside your device; the app uses it on your device and does not send it anywhere outside the device.

What information do we (Plešouni) collect about you?

We do not obtain any data about you from the app, and the app does not send us anything. We do not operate any "online" accounts for using the app, and the app itself does not store data outside your device (e.g. in the cloud).

We do not pass on any data from the app to third parties (because we do not have any).

This means that we do not have access to the content you enter into the app (records, notes, etc.), and therefore we cannot search for, correct or delete it remotely at your request. You handle everything yourself directly on your device (see Articles 7 and 8).

But beware: when exporting data from the app using a service on your mobile device (i.e. not the app's own utility, but the device itself and its Apple or Android operating system), your data may be shared with the device manufacturer or the cloud storage service provider where you store your data (Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc., etc.). However, we have no control over this (we do not share, manage or process your data) and it is up to you how you handle your data on your device; we are not responsible for the security and confidentiality of the transmitted content.

What data can you store in the app (locally on your device)

The app may work by creating a local profile in it – however, this is only stored in the app on your device, not on our server.

You can store the following in the app, for example:

  • date of birth (so that the app can determine your age and provide age-appropriate content),
  • nickname/avatar and, if applicable, login details for your local profile (if the app uses them),
  • records and notes that you keep for yourself/your parents/your doctor (e.g. drinking regime, moods, feelings, etc.).

However, we ask that you do not enter or import any personal data into the app that we do not explicitly request from you in the app.

Data export (if you want to show something to your parents or doctor)

The app itself does not allow direct data export. It is primarily intended that you will share the data you enter into it with your parents or attending physician by showing it to them and consulting with them directly (especially with your physician). Your physician can then use the data and apply it further.

However, your device (mobile phone or tablet) may have its own export or storage utility operated by the manufacturer or service provider within your device. Please note: when exporting data from the app using a service on your mobile device (i.e. not the app's own utility, but the device itself and its Apple or Android operating system), your data may be shared with the device manufacturer or the cloud storage service provider where you store your data (Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc., etc.). However, we have no control over this (we do not share, manage or process your data) and it is up to you how you handle your data on your device; we are not responsible for the security and confidentiality of the transferred content. When you export data and pass it on to someone else, it is your decision – from that moment on, it is important that the person to whom you pass it on handles the export securely. The app itself can function without such data export – on the contrary, it is primarily designed that way (according to paragraph 5.1. above).

Third-party videos and services (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)

The app may contain videos that are played via embedded links from external servers (typically YouTube or Vimeo). When you play such a video, your device connects to the third-party service, and this third party may process certain technical data (e.g. IP address, device information, etc.) according to its own rules, which we cannot influence, and we do not pass on any data about you.

  • The operators of these services are (according to the Terms and Conditions) in particular:
  • YouTube – Google Ireland Limited (in the EU/EEA/CH),
  • Vimeo – Vimeo.com Inc. (USA) / representative in the EU,
  • or other servers according to the specific reference in the video.
  • The terms of these third-party operators of external servers may therefore apply to such video playback. At the same time, you need the internet to play videos (and your operator may charge you for this).

The app itself can function without playing such videos or other externally stored links; you just won't be able to play the videos – but the basic functions of the app will work without them.

Downloading and updating the app (Google Play / Apple App Store)

The agreement to use the app is concluded when you download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play, start using it, and agree to the Terms and Conditions when you first launch it. To download the App, you will need an account with the operators of these stores and agree to their terms – we have no influence over this. The operators of these stores may process data about downloads/updates in accordance with their own policies as part of their store operations.

Still – in what situation(s) can we (Plešouni) actually be storing and processing your personal data

Although we do not obtain any data from the App, we may process personal data in the following situations:

  • When you contact us (e.g. by email or other means):
  • When you write to us atahoj@plesouni.com , we process the data you send us (typically your email address and the content of your message) so that we can respond to you and address your query/problem.
  • When you use our website or social media profiles (outside the app):
  • The rules of the platforms and settings you use apply on the website and social networks. (This section does not apply to data stored in the app – this is only on your device.)
How long we store data

You store the data stored in the app – it is on your device and remains there until you delete it (e.g. by deleting the app).

We store any email communication for the time necessary to process the enquiry and for a reasonable period of time to protect our rights (e.g. to document what we have discussed).

How you can manage your data yourself (in practice)

Since the data remains on your device, it is simple:

  • delete specific records directly in the app;
  • delete the app data in the device settings,
  • or uninstall the app itself from the device (this will "terminate" and delete the local account/profile).

Important: because the data is not backed up anywhere outside your device, you may lose it if your phone is damaged or lost – so share it regularly with your doctor so that they can use it as part of your treatment as needed and as possible.

What are your rights and where can you exercise them?

If we process your personal data (only in email communication), you have the right to:

  • access the data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing,
  • to object,
  • to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

The supervisory authority is

  • Office for Personal Data Protection

For data stored only in the app on your device (to which we do not have access), your rights are exercised in practice by managing them directly on your device (as described above).

Changes to this policy

We may change the policy, particularly in connection with an app update or a change in the rules. We will inform you of any changes in the same way as we inform you of changes to the Terms and Conditions (via the app interface when updating).

  • This Policy are effective from 1 March 2026.
